Pasadena ISD Town Hall
We sent a letter to the Pasadena ISD School Board to alert them of these 1,400 instances and demand an explanation. We also began holding town hall meetings in Pasadena to inform and engage the community around the school policing practices that are impacting their children. In these community initiatives, we distributed valuable resources like our Know Your Rights guide for parents and students to navigate disciplinary measures at school. We also began an open dialogue of communication with community members, many of which shared our deep concerns about the dangers of policing in schools. You can contribute to our Criminal Injustice team's work and their fight against policing in schools.

Voting Rights Rally & Backyard Concert
feat. Gina Chavez
At this event we celebrated TCRP's Voting Rights Program which is on the frontlines fighting to ensure Texans can choose who represent us, cast a ballot that counts, and have our voices heard in this year's elections. Although this event is past, there's still time to contribute to our Voting Rights work.

2nd Annual Comida sin Fronteras
feat. Chef Hernandez
Comida Sin Fronteras roughly translates to “food without borders,” which is a recognition of how cuisine transcends borders. Our Beyond Borders team is rooted in South Texas, where TCRP first began, and has been at the forefront of advocating for people seeking protection along the Texas-Mexico border as well as empowering and advocating for local border residents. This in-person cooking demonstration with Chef Johnny Hernandez, shared our passion for culture and social justice. You can still contribute to our Beyond Borders work.
